We have many customers that have been doing business with us for over 20 years. The company has grown to be the Puget Sound’s number #1 full service residential irrigation contractor. We owe this growth almost exclusively to referrals from satisfied customers. Advanced Irrigation uses all the latest water saving technologies, this includes; weather base controllers, rain shut offs, soil moisture sensors, drip irrigation, and low flow sprinklers. When properly installed and maintained, automatic sprinkler systems have proven to be the most effective means to insure proper watering for your lawn and landscaping. The President
Don Blackwell, President, is one of the country’s most respected irrigation professionals.
Don has served at the national level for the Irrigation Association on their Certification Board. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Irrigation Water Management Society, the Partnership for Water Conservation and as President of the Washington Irrigation Contractors Assoc.
Don is frequently asked to consult with government agencies in the Puget Sound area on water conservation issues. He has had input on numerous regulations and programs that are used to this day.
He is also a well respected instructor of technical irrigation topics and teaches classes both domestically and internationally. He is a Certified Irrigation Designer, Certified Irrigation Contractor, Certified Irrigation Auditor, Certified Site Water Planner, Certified 06 Electrician, and a 03Plumber(pumps/Irrigation). Don has always said customer satisfaction is the number one priority for the company, everything we do is done to insure the customer receives the best customer service in the industry.

Bob Barnes
Bob has been designing, installing and servicing underground sprinklers systems in the greater Puget Sound area for over 20 years. Bob is a true professional ,his attention to detail and follow thru assures that your new sprinkler system will be the highest quality water efficient sprinkler system available. Bobs commitment to quality is a large part of Advanced Irrigations success , whether we are installing a 4 zone system in north Seattle or 50+ zone system with pump station on the lake Bob is the one who makes sure it’s done to the highest standards.
Bob holds a BS degree in Engineering from Virginia Tech ( GO HOKIES), he is also a licensed 06 Electrician, licensed 03Plumber(pumps/Irrigation),Certified Irrigation Designer, Certified Landscape Water Auditor .

Our office staff has an average of 20 years experience in customer service and handles all scheduling and administrative concerns, they are available during normal business hours to help you and provide information about our services. Service Manager
Dena B
Dena has been the service manager at Advanced Irrigation for over ten years and has 25+ years of customer service experience. Dena treats every customer with respect and takes the time to listen to our customers. When you have a problem with your sprinkler system or just want to schedule an annual service like a spring “Sprinkler Tune Up”, fall “Winterizing” or backflow test Dena can quickly assign the right tech for the job. Dena’s expertise and concern for our customers is the reason Advanced Irrigation is the number one sprinkler service company in the Puget Sound area.
Accounting
Vickey B
Vickey has been with Advanced Irrigation for over 20 years and has 25+ years of accounting experience. Vickey is responsible for payroll, taxes, insurance and banking. Vickey also helps with the install and service depts. scheduling/billing. Vickey’s commitment to honest and accurate accounting has helped keep us the number one sprinkler company in Puget Sound.

Our install and service personal are the best trained Irrigation professionals in Puget Sound area. They are committed to on going training to make sure that they are experts at the task to which they are assigned.

Service Techs
We have expert service technicians, each with many years of sprinkler system trouble shooting and repair experience. Our service techs have completed training in; electrical trouble shooting, valve and head repair, proper PVC/ pipe repairs, drip irrigation, water flow & pressure and water conservation. They keep their service vans stocked with everything they’ll need to analyze your system and make a fast professional repair. When the “other guy” can’t figure it out they call us, don’t waste your time-call us first.
Install Crews
Our year around install crews are the areas most experienced teams of sprinkler system installers, these team members have worked together for 10+ years. Every person on each crew has been trained in sprinkler design/layout, system hydraulics, proper install techniques, PVC piping, and the latest water conservation technologies. Every person on the crew from the foremen to the labors have install hundreds of sprinkler systems.
